This business venture started when I found answers to a 20 year medical mystery for myself. I was introduced to herbal tinctures in late 2020 after finally receiving answers to a long sought after diagnosis. I ended up having chronic Lyme disease along with 3 other tick borne illnesses (10 strains of the 4 infections!). Long story short, no insurance will pay for the treatment suggested. So I relied on a long course of oral antibiotics and Mother Nature to lead the way. I went from barely being able to function to feeling human. Not needing to sleep all the time, not having headaches everyday, not feeling like I had the flu every morning that I woke up, not having panic attacks for no reason, not having pain that left me so miserable I didn’t even want to be around myself. When I realized how much benefit these herbal miracles had I knew I needed to share them with the world.

Well this idea grew and grew and well here I am! I went from farmers markets to online sales and decided when the opportunity arose to set up a physical shop in Sidney NY where I live with my husband and two of my children (the third is a young adult who lives on her own not not too far away). If you’re intimidated or skeptical about alternative medicine…so was I four years ago when I started learning! I thought essential oils were BS, I thought herbalist were kooks I’m now a wealth of information and love spreading the wealth! It’s not expensive either, the most expensive product in my shop is $60 (and that’s for the largest bottle of my tincture) The average cost is about $20 for an item. I have helped more people than I can say off the top of my head but this business has so much more potential to help others!

In a nutshell, I am here and l’m always available by private message but my “real world” job as a nurse limits my business hours. So, the shop is open Friday 1-4, Saturday 12-6 and Sunday 12-4. For the holidays, my hours will vary a little but if you check in my community group Amara’s Alchemists, I keep every one updated there.
